How to Fix Blurry Facebook Videos
Are you squinting and struggling with blurry, grainy videos in your Facebook feed? Or worse yet, do the videos your making for your business that you share on Facebook look warped? After spending hours creating visual content for the Brick & Mortar Mastery Facebook group, using a real DSLR camera, good editing tools and exporting it in 1080p quality, I nearly broke down in tears when the finished result looked like it was filmed with a fisher price toy by my 5 year old niece. It was blurry, and grainy & hard to watch which made it unbearable to sit through.
But, before I invested hours in new tutorials & thousands of dollars on new equipment – I did a little research and found it had NOTHING to do with my videos at all, and EVERYTHING to do with Facebook. Luckily it’s a quick easy fix.
- Go to your Facebook Page, in the top blue bar next to the ? you will see a white drop down arrow, click on it to open the drop down menu.
- About ¾’s of the way down you will see SETTINGS, click on it
- In the menu on the left hand side near or on the bottom find VIDEOS click on it to open the video settings window
- The very first line you will see VIDEO Default Quality – change it to HD if available.
Now you can go back & watch all the videos in your feed that looked interesting, but were too painfully blurry to sit through.
